Exceptions in WinRT
« on: July 15, 2014, 03:04:05 PM »
So compiling and running the Windows Store 8 example, it works file.  But if you enhance it beyond the simple open connection, the WinRT APIs throw exceptions that are not caught in the library prevent normal use of RakNet.  For example, change the DEFAULT_SERVER_ADDRESS to 127.0.0.1 and don't have an accompanying listener waiting for the connection, then the WinRT apis are throwing an exception, which is preventing the app from running.

I would have expected that the exception for common things like "unable to connect" would be  caught and the user code would be notified the same way as on Win32.  Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!
