Communicate with the server
« on: April 13, 2012, 07:49:40 AM »
I'm creating a game in c + +/SFML and have reached the point of having to implement the online portion.
Since I have a very short time, I want to use a library of help ( I dont like SFML networking libs), and then I'm here!
All I need do is be able to send some data to the server program (for example: create rooms with players selected (randomly or not), and players do not have to do is send to the server list of vectors containing <Entity> types -coordinates of the player, coordinates its attacks in flight etc.. etc..- with a starting loading for all the clients that needs to load the enviroment.) and players will have a lobby client where, however, will see a list of players logged into the game (to form the group). In short, not a small job. Can anyone redirect me to a more targeted approach for this (a guide, links, source code etc.. Etc..)?

Thanks and sorry or spam

If you're asking how to use RakNet without learning how to use it there's no such shortcut. The manual is the place to start.
