QoS emulator
« on: August 09, 2011, 03:19:30 AM »
Does anybody have the QoS emulator made for RakNet a couple years ago? I know it was buggy but it was great nevertheless. I don't use raknet, so I really need just that. Could you help me out?

http://www.raknet.com/raknet/downloads/QoSEmulator_03_26_08.exe

I don't think it works past Windows XP though.

It works on Windows 7 perfectly!

The only issue with this emulator is that it slows down web browsers, which in turn start consuming 100% CPU, which leads to deadlocks.

Other than that it works. I don't know if you realize this, but it is the only piece of software I can find that can simulate ping. Programs like Netlimiter only limit transfer. Yours is the only one that can simulate lag and packet loss. You should seriously think of packaging this software in some way. Maybe not sell it, but just put it out there for download so people googling for it will find Raknet.

Thanks!
