Which C++ Program to you use?
« on: October 07, 2008, 02:55:22 PM »
Just out of curiosity, which C++ programs do you guys use? (Visual C++ 2005 etc)

I'm looking to see which would be the best one for me at the moment :)

Thanks.

I could not really care what the compiler is honestly (as long as it is rather conformant), as long as I have Visual Assist to help make the code with.  :)

I've started to use Visual Studio 2005, managed to get a copy from college. Much Much nicer than Visual C++ 2008 Express :P

And if you have some money laying around, go get addicted to the Visual Assist add-on. :P
Or at least download the demo for it, fully functional for like a month or so as I recall.  Be forewarned though, it is addicting to code with, it is the only reason I have not switched to Eclipse and MingW to make my multi-platform compiling easier.

I am also using Visual Studio (currently 2005). Thank you for your advice regarding Visual Assist. Have to try that out.
