LogicalDreams Multiuser Whiteboard System.
« on: February 18, 2008, 04:17:31 AM »
This is the first release of my whiteboard application (despite it being the second version). It's raster based, using SDL and RakNet and compiles on at least windows and linux. I'm not going to repeat everything I just typed on the website, however it seems to work really well. All in all I am really happy with it, and it does what I need it to do. Strangely it appears it also happens to be the best free whiteboard system out there since I couldn't find anything better despite looking for some time thus leading to me making this. Binaries for windows are included in the file.

ps: the client requires command line options if you want to connect to something other than 127.0.0.1, if the client closes after 10 sec or so you know it didn't connect to anything. Browse over the two short readme files for the controls and other info.

Looks like a very useful tool for collaborative work.

The guy who owns the server was screwing with it without my supervision so it was down this morning :) It's development is still progressing and it's starting to become pretty well refined, since I announced it I've added a bunch of stuff. Some that I can remember include..

The server now keeps track of the drawn image and uploads it to new clients.
splash screen with progress bar
square brush
server option to load an initial image
fullscreen works in windows now
